Somehow, today, I managed to fall asleep during the council meeting.

And let it be said I do not snore because no-one even noticed for a good twenty minutes, possibly they were all asleep as well because Monmouth was blabbering on at the time.

I don't believe Uncle was very impressed by this behaviour, but with Samhain and the end of the harvesting season fast approaching there's been so many meetings...it's almost constant. I haven't had a chance to train with the knights for a week. Beyond that, I need to drill the guards every fortnight as well, because they need it, they'll forget how to hold a sword if I leave off too long.

And I barely manage to see Guinevere at all.

Something has to change that's all I can say.

And afterwards we went to The Rising Sun.

It was great!

Now i'm tired and I need to sleep, I think I drank a bit much.

Oh dear and I've got council meetings tomorrow.

WHooops.

For a few brief moments this morning I managed to forget all my problems as the new knights brought Guinevere home. Seeing her on that white horse... Well, I sort of lost my head...I kissed her in front of everyone.

But I can't say I regret it, it felt so right. Perhaps I was even hoping it might get back to Father and snap him out of this state he's in.

But it seems that nothing will.

If this continues, they'll be no other choice, the Council will convene and I will be named regent, it's something I don't even want to think about.

I know one day I am to be King, but I didn't want it this way...no matter what Father has done.

If only he'd say something! Anything...
