Gift-Giving *Action Sequence* - 25th December 1005

As the traditional Camelot Yule Feast drags on, Arthur decides it's a very good time to escape, besides he has presents to give!

Father's of course will have to be given once he stops talking to the all Counsellors, but in the meantime - Morgana's, Guinevere's and Merlin's gifts!

He's very happy with his selections this year and can't wait to give them out!

Don't keep the Crown Prince of Camelot waiting then, it's extremely rude!

"Well, I don't think it actually counts if you have to fix it." Morgana would never stand for that sort of thing!

He's hidden it in this very corridor in fact, since if anyone else was to find it.

It's in a small nook behind a tapstery (Camelot is full of them!) a small flat wrapped rectanglar package.

"I had it made by a...um...commissioned by someone - who doesn't know us at all." Right, nothing suspicious there.

"I still thought it counted." But Gwen picks up the package and started to unwrap it.

It's a lovely portrait done by a friend Arthur met in the multiverse, which he's not going to explain right now because it's too damn confusing.

But it's such a beautiful portrait it pretty much HAD to give it to his lady love.

Gwen gasped when she unwrapped the portrait. "Arthur, it's beautiful."

Arthur's face lights up at response to the gift.

"It is...I know you can't really...put it up or anything like that but I wanted you to see it."

"It's wonderful, thank you." Gwen smiled, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed him on the cheek. "You know, I have a gift for you, too."

Although at the mention of a gift, he has to ask.

"You do? You didn't have to."

"Of course I did." She might have rolled her eyes a little bit. "Especially now that you've given me two gifts."

"Just having you here is gift enough for me."

(Oooo, that's a brilliant one! Arthur's really very proud of himself for that!)

"But...well...if you've got it." Really, it's hard for him to refuse a gift...he's a spoiled prince after all!

Awww, that's cruel, Guinevere...very cruel! Now he really wants to know! Why do the women in his life insist on making him suffer like this?

"It's at my house, so you'll have to wait until I get a chance to collect it and bring it back." Arthur's reaction made her smile, and she stroked his cheek. Waiting might actually be good for him.

Arthur is curious as anything right now. He almost suggests going to Guinevere's house right away. But...no, he's not a child.

"Well...all right then. I look forward to it, knowing you I'm sure its something I'll love."

Gwen grinned at him. "I hope so."
